Blessings ala La Nina

This is getting weirder and weirder; not that I’m complaining, but blessings from God keeps on pouring in! I thought it was already finished last week, but I was wrong. I just hope everyone gets the high I'm feeling right now; (all those who are deserving of course). I'm still praying to HIM that they experience this "high" of happiness too.

Last week was unproductive; coming from husband’s hometown (to celebrate his mom, aunt cousin’s birthday celebration), and another birthday celebration from our organization’s (GAWAD FT San Luis) founder; I caught a bad case of allergic rhinitis.


When I went back to Manila, I went straight to attend mass at MCC, then to work. Good thing Sunday was another rest day for us so we were able to take a good rest during the shift. Monday morning, since I have 3 days worth of things in my bag, I decided to go home and rest, and wasn’t able to work out; this is my 2nd week that I haven’t visited the gym. I just did push ups and abs exercises not to let my body loose its strength. Then come Tuesday, I tried to work on my financial report for my new business, but due to my obsessive-compulsiveness, I wasn’t able to finish it due to missing data (which until now I haven’t finished yet).

Friday came and I planned to visit the gym, however, my original manager asked me to cover for her in training the newbies. I was like… WOW! Me?! A trainer?! I mean, yeah, it was just for two hours, but come on! I was chosen to train these newbies! I didn’t think that much if I’ll be paid (OT) or not, but I’m just happy that I was the one selected to train them. During the training, it was somewhat pleasant as they gave me the respect and acceptance that their future colleague; is their semi- trainer. They listened and answered my questions. I didn’t hear/saw any bad feedbacks or bad remarks. My predicament between them was that Trainee 2,3 and 4 all came from 1 department and so Trainee 1, feeling OC, paranoid and all somewhat, feels awkward.

Two hours was indeed short and timeless that I didn’t realize we were overtime for 30minutes. I was tired, but I was happy. I was given the chance to be my dream; a trainer for 2 hours. Or so I thought.


Saturday, I had a bad headache because early that morning, husband’s speaker mounted on the wall fell into my forehead. When my acting-supervisor slash colleague called me up and gave me surprising news. Since my original manager, is currently an acting team lead (leading 3 managers in the other department) and training the newbies at the same time, she asked me to do the rest of the training for the remaining days of the week. So this Tuesday until Friday; I will be the one to train them. I was on my way to school, so I wasn’t able to talk to her on what will I be doing, but since I already have their schedule, I have an idea on what to teach. My then bi-polar professor that morning (burst out mad/angry and after 1 hour turned happy and gay) didn’t stop me feeling good.

I then went to Glorietta to meet husband and his mom who was shopping for her DSLR’s bag and accessories. After a while, we dropped her off in Buendia on her bus ride home, and went to Jollibee Harbor square for Sofie (my cousin’s daughter’s) 1st birthday. Mom, dad, sister, Reigne and Icez (her son and daughter) were already there. It was rather weird that it was childern’s party but the children were less than 10. So the games/programs were then directed to “young adults,” I was feeling child at heart that moment so I obliged and pulled husband (who got mad after) with me to join the games. It was all gone when Jollibee and Hetty danced I think a song they called Waka-waka? What made the party more fun was when Hetty asked me to dance with her and the people were pushing me (even husband and my sister; close much?) asked me to dance!! It was hilarious!

Husband and I decided to get a massage and we found one in Park Square 1 in Makati at Mt.Albo. After the massage, there was still time for 1 LSF and then we watched Love and Other drugs starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. Wiki said that the movie was based on the story from the non-fiction book written by Jamie Reidy; Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman. So that explains the Viagra story in the movie. The movie was rather humor driven, I thought it was somewhat “A Walk to Remember,” “The ugly Truth,” and “LiveShow” rolled into one; sex driven, humorous but deep (minus the XXX scenes of course).



Sunday was weird; we went home, bought some chicken (Andok’s; have to give in to our craving), slept, woke up, ate brunch, watched Despicable Me. It was around 20ish minutes before the end, I realized was laughing alone; husband fell asleep. We slept again and woke up to prepare for the mass. I have to skip MCC since I was not feeling well. We just attended the last mass at Megamall and I went straight to work.

Of weekends and announcements (and special mentions)

What happened this weekend was quite peculiar. I was doing my weekend to do list when Saturday morning, husband asked me to go with him and spend the weekend over at their place in Laguna. I’m already finished with my to do list- wash my white shirts, arrange my files and important documents. However, he insisted me to go with him. Out of love, and those pa-cute ways and cuddles of him; I lost the battle. I was pissed off though when he was about to text tita “Sasama si Mark pauwi dyan.”(Mark will go with me there). I was like… what the?!? You invited me even though I already have plans (STRIKE 1!) and you’ll tell her I want to go!? STRIKE 2!



We then prepared going to his hometown in San Pablo. Tita Madel(his mom) welcomed us with my favorite Beef Asado, we surprised her though with ice cream. After our hearty meal, I watched television first before joining husband for an afternoon siesta. Tita woke us up since we are to attend Joey’s birthday party; husband’s 10 year old cousin. It was rather a fun party since I was able to meet tita’s elder brother and see tita Pinky’s cute shitzus; Lucky and Jasmine. After the party, it was nice to see his whole family being warm to me especially his lola who keep on saying “Sana dito ka na every weekend!” (I hope you’re here every weekend!) We went back to their home and took a rest, I told him that we need to go before lunch since we still need to attend mass plus, I have a shift at 8pm.

Sunday morning, we then ate again, a hearty meal courtesy of his mom and we were on our way back to the metro. We attended mass at Megamall and went home for me to prepare for work. I didn’t get enough sleep and I told him not to do that again; unplanned trips. He knows how I get stressed when I don’t get enough sleep before work. STRIKE 3! I visited MCC, and boy, the room was overflowing! There were lots of guests last Sunday! Too bad I wasn’t/can’t join them. Then, before I went to work and ate “breakfast” at Pizza Hut, since I really have this nasty headache thus, the picture on this entry. A couple of friends requested that I pos t my new hairdo too.


I’m excited to join the theorg-y on Sept 1. It’s just like coming out, again… and again… and again… I’m already doing the draft because I want this to be special; just like my old coming out moments. Funny though, I have yet to email the owner of the theorg-y; he posted my “other” blog site. Hahhaha!!


Already bought groceries yesterday, excited to become a full time house-band! Cooking for husband! Tita asked me if I know how to cook, I told her not like her, but yeah, I know a couple of dishes or two, and pasta! She said she’s hoping I could teach her son (husband) on how to cook since both of them (him and his brother) don’t know how to dance with pots and pans. Inside, I just told myself, that’s why we’re here for tita…


Excited for this weekend for our GAWAD Kamustahan, Bi El (Bahay Laguna) Day and General Assembly, I miss my GAWAD family!



Excited this Friday because we'll be buying his Nokia N8 and my Ericsson phone, a bit pissed because I still can't decide which phone to buy and getting more pissed because Satio and Aino joined the list. Though, I already crossed out Xperia and Xperia Mini since it wasn't really worth the price, plus Xperia is sooooooo big. We tried Satio and Aino last Friday and damn, I really love them, with Vivaz of course.


Then, to finalize it all, we're both excited to watch Mamarazzi, of course, by our very own Eugene Domingo. YAY!

What happened?!

Haven't blogged for the longest time.



So here's what happened in Glee, errr... with me...

Two weekends ago, there was our GAWAD General Assembly and that's where my busy weekend started. After an overnight swimming and catching up, I went straight to St. Therese church in UPLB to thank HIM. I then went home and found the cutest thing in the world; puppies! My aunt gave us one and she was named Princess, though, they ought to change that since one of our niece' name (from my father side)is the same. I suggested to name her Duchess.
I then surfed the net since I haven't checked my mails and thingies for the longest time. It was really hot that morning until after lunch, I was sitting in my bed and felt sleepy. I then went to sleep around 2pm and woke up around 5 since it was raining. I woke up around 11pm since it was then too cold, that my throat was already dry; and I was coughing. Damn, it was like the whole year's weather in one day. My brother who was on his way back to Subic, gave me a ride until Makati, and that's where I kept on sneezing and coughing.

Shoot.

That week was also stressfully sick. There were some updates from work so from our usual 100 accounts per day, we got to work 300+ worked accounts on a Monday shift. Then, come Wednesday, I have to go back to Los Banos, Laguna again since we have a little reunion; my cousin from the US. Since I didn't and wasn't able to file any leave that day, I still have to go to work that night. What killed me more was I found out that the puppy was gone. That Wednesday morning, Duchess was gone. Damn, I was really sad since I wanted to play with her some more...

The week passed and the week's highlight was when husband and I went to Resorts World that Sunday morning and ate our hearts out at their buffet breakfast. It was actually nice since the membership is "free," you just have to register on their online website and go there with your valid government issued ID and presto! You have your membership ID! It comes with two coupons; discount at their buffet breakfast at 88php (exclusive of tax) plus free 100php tokens for slut errr.. slot machines. I lost 200, husband won XXXX php. hehehe.. We then went to Megamall to check out the sale. Damn sale! I was forced to buy glasses, and oven toaster. We dropped by CDR King as well to buy my netbook keyboard protector and fan, and we decided to buy a Vision Board, so we could post what we want to have; The Secret. We went home, he took a nap since he still have work that night while I prepare for MCC mass.

This week was pretty boring since nothing much happened. Since I wasn't able to work out last week due to my cough and colds, I started my Monday with a work out and I mean work out! Husband and I also decided to visit the new gym I was eyeing here in Pasig; the 24/7 Eclipse Gym.

Tomorrow, I'm excited to attend the Threesome; Book Launch of my favorite bloggerettes! too bad husband needs to go to work. pft.

• Red the Mod requested a review for the new Samsung N220. During the height of my hunt, I was actually eyeing for the Nokia laptop, since nobody is using that. However, I have to go through all that thingamajig to get that. I need it NOW. So we settle for a little less and finally came up to a decision to buy the Samsung Netbook. The sales clerk was amazing in explaining the features, and from the looks of it, it was pretty remarkable.

I chose the Samsung N220 over the N150 since the N220 works 12 hours vs the 8 hours of N150. It also has the added feature called Hyperspace, no this is not one of those Shaider thing, it’s when booting up, when you press F6, it will go to Hyperspace "Istant On", somewhat the Windows version of Samsung, so even if your Windows Crashed (from what the guy from Samsung explained) you’ll still be able to access Samsung Hyperspace, with almost all the features of Windows; Word, Internet, etc. Samsung also has a program for back up when it crashes, so it’s good. In terms of Service, they are able to provide service for the 1 year warranty but after that, it’s the service center; the service center for Samsung is located at Greenhils; fair enough. Since the netbook runs of 1 G RAM with 250 memory, I’m happy about that, but need to update that soon. I’m quite impatient with slow system. Windows 7 Starter was installed, and husband I talked about upgrading that to Windows 7, however, the guy explained that Starter is the only applicable OS for netbooks due to memory and system issues. (I won’t debate with that)

The netbook works fine, the keyboard is low profile, so it’s kinda easier to type on it, which I like since I’m quite a “typer.” It’s LED display is also useful especially during daytime, and in my case, my class, since it’s too bright in our classroom and since it’s not glass; it doesn’t reflect. The 12 hour promise was put on the test when I was on leave when I stayed on a café; without electric plugs. Husband explained to me that WIFI works out your laptop, so I was able to utilize the full battery around 8 hours with WIFI, without music; fair enough. The adapter was so compact that I’m able to carry both in a small shoulder bag; blind from those mongrels around. Due to security risk, any gadget needs to be registered first in our security; which is a bit bothersome. Since the laptop was small enough, for some reason, they can’t manage to “inspect” it.

I just read your reflection post; it’s not “walang kwenta.” You’re one of my top 10 bloggers I’m always looking forward to; seriously.

• The last post I posted was April 23, 2010 with the formula to get a new netbook. Since then, I’ve been quite busy because summer classes are only 6 sessions. I just finished the first part of my report, done my research, and just polishing my campaign. I can’t believe we’ve done a PR Campaign in less than 2 months. The reason why I was quite busy was the inconsistent schedule change; I got upset since the original plan was having our class moved to April 30, Friday. It was perfect! I already filed a leave Thursday night shift. However, Wednesday, they gave us an update that the Saturday class will pursue. I was planning not to attend the class anymore but my classmates/friends were insistent; classmate/friendship won.

• I was not able to leave early to attend my civic org’s swimming. It was a month long plan so that the oldies aka “Tanders” are able to attend, however, partly, I was blessed not to attend. Only 5 attended the swimming from the original 20ish. After my class, I then took a bus to Sta. Cruz Laguna,that was around 6pm, going to our headquarters “Bi El” (Bahay Laguna), located in Magdalena, Laguna, a couple minutes away from Liliw, Laguna. Yes, it’s that far. It was a weekend, so the line in the bus station was long enough, add traffic in Pansol, Calamba city for those who are having their weekend swimming; the travel was plain grueling. After I reached Sta. Cruz, Laguna, we were already used to ride taxicles (tricycles that you would rent on your own); last year, I can still remember paying 70 php for one trip, I was surprised that they’re asking 200 right now! I was able to find a cheaper one for 150php. Talk about bad-TRIP.

• I reached mydestination; Bi El aka Bahay Laguna. You can check the pictures here at my Multiply account. I was surprised to see 5 of my friends, in front of the house, in an open area, under the moonlight, with beddings and all; they’re gonna sleep outside. It was actually nice to do something like that for a change, plus, it was hot inside. We waited for our former president,Ate Macris, ate late dinner and did what we like most; bonding. (I'm actually after a different kind of "bonding" though… nyahaha!!) It was really relaxing to catch up with these people. I didn’t sleep since I still have to go to husband’s place that morning, so I just did my report and done some improvements. I woke up Ate Mac, after an hour, since she still has work that morning. We left early morning.
  

• I then went to San Pablo City, Laguna and arrived to hsuband’s place, husband washing our clothes and his mom cooking breakfast for us. Took a quick nap, tita woke me up for they will be coming with me, visiting my place for our town fiesta. It’s time to meet the parents; my parents. Nyahahaha!!! When she arrived, she immediately asked my mom if she can still remember her, and mom still does. (*Husband’s younger brother was my childhood bestfriend, and during lunch, both of our moms will visit us for our packed lunch). After we ate, took some pictures and went back to San Pablo, bought groceries and took a good night rest. So I guess it’s wedding next year! Hehe!

• We’re back to our “old” building and I'm not happy about it. When I got transferred to a new department, we were quite sad because we were just 10 in our team in a whole new building, with other department. However, later we realized it was a blessing; we were able to surf the net, do our own thing (we’re able to eat inside the office, laugh our hearts out,talk about everything, etc), and we’re away from all the stress(ed)ful people of our original department! However, since our team was part of a bigger department, we were asked by our head boss to go back here at the old building. Last Monday was our first day. I chose my desk to be far away from everyone, near the corner. ALAS! Since we all have our extensions, I was transferred where my monitor was facing the public. Now I have to surf the net more discreetly. Pft.

• I’m able to upgrade my work out plan and diet. Tuna sandwich, PB and J, popcorn (microwavable) and milk diet… ONLY. Yes, I’m only eating those I mentioned for the whole week for breakfast, break and lunch. I’m quite unhealthy during weekends, since during class, we’re already eating lunch and whatever was served; I EAT!

• Right now, good thing it wasn’t that busy here at work, but I’m not able to do my assignment as well. I finished this blog entry and also my ebook here at work; Darren Shan’s Cirque Du Freak I’m already reading Book 9- Killers of the Dawn. Anyway, that’s it for now, I’ll try to upload some pics later/sooner. Sorry for not updating that much guys…
